ROBINSON -- Three players hit double figures as Effingham St. Anthony High School handed Robinson a 53-42 non-conference boys basketball loss Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs actually trailed after the opening quarter, 14-13 but Kaden Fearday nailed two three-pointers and a regular basket in the second period and St. Anthony moved ahead 29-20 at halftime. The Bulldogs then had a 24-22 second half for the win.

Logan Antrim finished with 16 points while Jaccob Dust added 15 and Jack Hoene 16.

St. Anthony also captured the junior varsity game by a 62-30 count.

At Effingham

Mahomet-Seymour took the early lead on Effingham in an Apollo Conference contest Tuesday evening and claimed a four-point victory, 71-67.

The Bulldogs led by five after the opening quarter but the Hearts came back to knot the score at halftime, 32-32. Mahomet-Seymour then had a 21-19 third quarter and finished out hitting 18 of 25 free throws for the win.

Coleman led the Bulldogs with 30 points as he connected on seven field goals that included three trifectas and was 13 of 15 at the line. Warren scored 15 and Essign 13.

The Hearts finished with four players in double figures. Nate Thompson led the way with 21 points while Drew Thompson added 18, Parker Wolfe 14 and Jacob Stoneburner 10.

Effingham claimed the junior varsity contest, 52-35. Brayden Pals scored 23 points.

At Neoga

Neoga picked up its fifth straight victory by handing Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg a National Trail Conference 50-44 loss Tuesday evening.

The Indians held a 26-17 halftime lead. The Hatchets outscored Neoga 27-24 in the second half but couldn't get over that first half run by the Indians.

Trevor Roy led the way with 20 points while Paci McClure chipped in with 15. Neoga is now 3-1 in the conference stands at 12-4 overall.

Windsor/Stew-Stras was led by Samuel Vonderheide with 13 and Austin Wittenberg with 10. The Hatchets drop to 1-1 in the conference, 8-9 overall.

Windsor/Stew-Stras claimed the junior vasrity contest, 33-30.

At Shelbyville

Altamont continued its strong play with a 71-66 non-conference overtime win over Shelbyville in competition Tuesday evening.

The Indians held an 18-16 opening quarter lead but trailed 30-27 at halftime. Altamont regrouped and held a 43-42 third quarter lead but the Rams came back to tie the score in the final quarter and send the contest into overtime. From there, Altamont went on a 15-8 tear. Kaden Eirhart hit five points in the period while Derick Budde and Noah Klimpel nailed a three-pointer each. Denver Duckwtz and Jared Kollman contributed a basket each.

Five players ended in double figures for the Indians while seven scored in the game. Leading the way was Eirhart with 18 followed by Duckwitz 17, Klimpel 12, Budde 10 and Kollman 10.

With the win, Altamont improved to 13-1 on the season.

Kull led Shelbyville with 22 points while Nichols and Clark had 12 each.

Altamont was a winner in the junior varsity game, 28-12. Klimpel led the Indians with eight points.

St. Elmo/Brownstown flew out to a 23-7 opening quarter lead on Oblong and finished with an easy 60-37 non-conference win Tuesday.

SEB held a 38-16 halftime lead and had a 20-10 third period. The Eagles hit 42 percent from the field and 66 percent at the line with 10 of 15.

Bryton Pruett led in scoring with 19 while Andy Goldsborough finished with 12 and Jaxson Tish 11. Goldsborough led on the boards with 11 rebounds. Pruett and J. Tish finished with three assists each. Pruett led in steals with two. Jacob Baron had two blocked shots.

The Wooden Shoes trailed early but came back strong to down Monticello, 57-36 in action Tuesday evening.

The Sages held a 14-10 opening quarter lead but T-town edged ahead 25-24 at halftime. The Wooden Shoes then had a 12-7 third period and outscored Monticello 20-5 in the final quarter.

Luke Ungrund tallied 17 points while Evan Wermert and Evan Addis scored 13 points each. Addis connected on four field goals that included three trifectas and was two of two at the line. Ungrund hit three trifectas in five field goals and was four of four at the line.

Wermert and Matthew Deters had eight rebounds each. Wermert led in assists with six.

The Movin' Maroons held an 11-6 opening quarter lead and pushed that to 36-17 at halftime.

Collin Hartke led the way with 15 points while Derek Kuhl added 14 and Cole Niebrugge 10.
