ROBINSON -- Teutopolis claimed two junior high boys basketball victories in the B Game Shootout at Lincoln Trail College Saturday.

 

T-town defeated Effingham 32-13. The Wooden Shoes held a 15-4 halftime lead and outscored the Mustangs 10-2 in the third quarter.

Austin Bloemer scored eight for the winners. Effingham was led by Charlie Ring with four.

The Shoes then defeated host Robinson, 60-20. The Shoes held a 20-2 opening quarter lead.

Austin Bloemer scored 11 while Carter Davidson added 10 for the winners.

At Sigel

Sigel St. Michael downed Effingham St. Anthony, 35-31 in seventh-grade boys basketball action Saturday.

The Bullpups took an 11-5 opening quarter lead and led 18-10 at halftime. The Sharpshooters came back with a 25-13 second half to pull out the win.

Croy led St. Michael with 10 points while Hatten and D. Hoene had eight each.

St. Anthony was led by Ryan Schmidt with nine.
