North Clay (Louisville) picked up a boys freshman/sophomore victory over Effingham St. Anthony Tuesday in overtime.

North Clay took an 11-9 opening quarter lead, knocking in three trifectas. Smith nailed two while Griffy added the other one.

The Bulldogs moved ahead at halftime, 17-14 and led 24-19 going into the final quarter. North Clay then went on a tear, outscoring St. Anthony 14-9 to tie the score and send the game into overtime. In the overtime period, Smith tallied a bucket and that was the game-winner.

Smith was the scoring leader for the Cardinals with 17 points.

St. Anthony was led by Kyle Stewart with seven points.
