The NBA Awards were handed out Monday night and the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo was named the league’s Most Valuable Player. Luka Doncic, of the Dallas Mavericks, won Rookie of the Year honors, Toronto’s Pascal Siakam was named Most Improved Player and the LA Clippers’ Lou Williams won his third Sixth Man Award.


NBA Fines Knicks

The NBA has fined the New York Knicks $50,000 for violating the league's media policy. The Knicks refused to issue a credential to the New York Daily News for last week's news conference introducing draft picks RJ Barrett and Ignas Brazdeikis, while allowing other media to cover the event.


Portland Trades Evan Turner

The Portland Trail Blazers have traded Evan Turner to the Atlanta Hawks for Kent Bazemore. Both players are headed into the final year of their four-year deals.


Warriors' Myers To Meet With Durant, Thompson

Golden State Warriors’ general manager Bob Myers says he plans to meet with both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson ahead of the start of free agency this weekend. However, sources say Durant is upset with the team for clearing him to play before he was fully healed and will opt for free agency.
