TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis edged out to a 7-6 opening quarter lead, gained momentum and finished with a 35-26 win over Lawrenceville in the Class 7-3A Regional championship game Thursay.

The Shoes had an 11-7 third period and led 26-17 going into the final quarter.

Ethan Thoele scored 12 for the winners while Eli Hanson chipped in with nine.

T-town advances to the Marshall Sectional Wednesday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m. to face Shelbyville Moulton.

Class 7-2A Casey-Westfield Regional

Paris Crestwood tallied a 31-27 victory over Dieterich to win the Class 7-2A Casey-Westfield Regional championship.

Crestwood advances to the North Clay (Louisville) Sectional Wednesday, January 30 and will go up against Effingham St. Anthony at 6:30 p.m.

 

Class 7-4A Effingham Regional

Charleston captured the championship of the Effingham Regional Thursday evening.

Charleston edged Stephen Decatur, 42-41 and now advances to the Springfield Grant Sectional Wednesday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m. against Rochester who claimed the Taylorville Regional with a 51-47 win over Springfield Lincoln.

 

Class 7-1A Pana Sacred Heart Regional

This regional championship game is scheduled for today at 6:30 p.m.

Pana Sacred Heart will take on Ramsey. The winner then advances to the Stewardson-Strasburg Sectional against Newton St. Thomas Wednesday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m.

 

SIJHSAAA Regional

Altamont Lutheran captured the championship of the SIJHSAA Class S Regional at Iuka Thursday evening.

Altamont Lutheran downed St. Peter Lutheran, 64-25.
