TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis moved into the championship game of its own Class 7-3A Boys Basketball Regional with a win over Marshall Tuesday, 49-12.

The Wooden Shoes took a 14-5 opening quarter lead and led 26-8 at halftime.

Eli Hanson tallied 12 points for the winners.

In the second contest, Lawrenceville Parkview won over Robinson Nuttall, 27-20.

T-town and Parkview now meet for the regional championship at 6 p.m. Thursday. The winner advances to the Marshall Sectional January 30 against the winner of the Shelbyville Moulton Regional.

Class 7-1A Sigel St. Michael Regional

Newton St. Thomas and host Sigel St. Michael moved into the championship with wins Tuesday.

St. Thomas bounced Mattoon St. John's, 45-16 in the opener.

Sigel St. Michael was an easy winner over Kansas, 47-10.

St. Michael now faces St. Thomas at 6 p.m. today for the regional championship. The winner moves into the Stewardson-Strasburg Sectional January 30 against the Pana Sacred Heart Regional winner.

 

Class 7-2A Casey-Wesfield Regional

Dieterich moved into the championship game by downing Neoga, 50-31 in the Class 7-2A Casey-Westfield Regional Tuesday.

In the second contest, Paris Crestwood eliminated host Casey-Westfield, 31-26.

Dieterich and Paris Crestwood meet at 6 p.m. Thursday for the regional championship. The winner moves into the North Clay Sectional January 30 against the winner of the St. Anthony Regional.

 

Class 7-3A Shelbyville Moulton Regional

Sullivan and host Shelbyville Moulton will meet for this regional championship.

Sullivan defeated Tuscola East Prairie, 32-22 in the opening contest. The second game went to Moulton over Paris Mayo, 33-27.

Sullivan and Shelbyville Moulton meet for the championship today at 6 p.m. The winner advances to face the winner of the Teutopolis Regional January 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Marshall.

 

Class 7-4A Effingham Regional

Charleston takes on Mount Zion at 6 p.m. followed by Stephen Decatur against Mattoon at 7:15 p.m. today for the right to advance to the regional championship Thursday.

 

Class 7-1A Pana Sacred Heart Regional

Two games are on tap for tonight in this regional.

Pana Sacred Heart meets Findlay Okaw Valley at 6 p.m. followed by Stewardson-Strasburg facing Ramsey at 7:15. The winners advance to the title contest Friday at 6:30 p.m.
