LOUISVILLE -- Brownstown/St. Elmo handed North Clay (Louisville) a 57-47 National Trail Conference girls basketball loss in action Tuesday.

BSE took a seven point lead in the opening quarter before leading 36-18 at halftime. Olivia Campbell went on a run in the second quarter hitting four baskets, including a three-pointer, and a free throw for 10 points.

Campbell finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and three steals for the winners. Also in double figures was Natalie Oberlink with 14 points. Claire Wilhour had five assists, five steals and 11 rebounds.

North Clay was led by Madison Lovett with 15 points, 12 in the second half.

At Dieterich

Dieterich stepped out to a 36-22 halftime lead and went on for a 73-47 non-conference win over Sandoval Tuesday evening.

The Movin' Maroons had three players finish in double figures. Jenny Robards scored 25 points while Andrea Bierman chipped in with 12 and K. Boerngen added 10. Robards knocked in six three-pointers.

Sandoval was led by N. Andrews with 16 and Jalynn Day with 14.

At Newton

Pana came calling and tallied a 49-33 victory over Newton in action Thursday evening.

Pana edged out to a 12-6 opening quarter lead and led 30-19 at halftime. Schoonover finished with 20 points for the winners while Denton added 10.

Leading Newton was Claire Carr with 10 points and Brooke Jansen with nine. Carr finished with a double-double by adding 14 rebounds. Jansen chipped in with six boards.

Newton is now 7-17 on the season.

Pana also claimed the junior varsity contest, 44-13. Newton is 6-7.
