Abby Weis Signs to Play College Ball at Lake Land

Effingham High School senior Abby Weis Friday signed to continue her basketball career at Lake Land Community College.

Abby, the daughter of Tim Weis and Vanessa Shafer, said she signed with Lake Land to stay close to home for two more years, but said she definitely plans to continue playing at a four-year school after her time with the Lakers. She plans to major in Criminal Justice.

Abby, who became a 1,000-point career scorer earlier this season, said it's the excitement and intensity of basketball that makes it a great sport. Here's Abby's conversation with Greg Sapp after her signing ceremony...
