Salem Games Moved To Tonight, LIC Tourney Scores

There will be two games played tonight at the Salem Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament.

 

Four games were canceled Saturday. Salem will face Mount Vernon at 6 p.m. in the consolation championship while Teutopolis takes on East St. Louis at 7:30 for the championship.

The Effingham vs. Thornton Fractional North game for third place and the Centralia vs. St. Jacob Triad game for seventh place were canceled.

 

Little Illini Conference Tournament

One game was contested Friday evening in the Little Illini Conference Tournament.

Flora defeated Paris, 54-47. Flora advanced to face Casey-Westfield Saturday and lost 65-42. In the other Saturday contest, Red Hill (Bridgeport) defeated Robinson, 67-55.

The other two games Saturday were postponed to today. Action begins at  6 p.m. with Olney against Newton followed by Marshall taking on Lawrenceville at 7:30.

The Paris contest against the winner of the Marshall vs. Lawenceville contest has been moved to Tuesday at 5 p.m.
