SIGEL -- Sigel St. Michael played host to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in junior high boys basketball play Tuesday evening and claimed two victories.

In the seventh-grade contest, the Sharpshooters were 25-15 winners. St. Michael held a 13-4 halftime lead.

Ruholl led the way with nine points for the winners. CHBC was led by Carson Evans with four.

In the eighth-grade contest, St. Michael was a 38-32 winner. CHBC took a 7-3 opening quarter lead and led 20-9 at halftime. The Sharpshooters came back in the second half to tie the score at 24-24 going into the third period then had a 14-8 final quarter run for the victory.

Ruholl scored 13 for the winners while Koester tallied 10. CHBC was led by Trevor Theis with 11.
