EHS Basketball, Cheer, Pom Pon Award Winners

Claiming basketball awards were, left to right, Landon Wolfe, Cole Marxman, Ryan Sandifer, Mason Hull and Blake Lohman.

Effingham High School boys basketball, cheerleaders and Pom Pon team members were honored with awards and a banquet at the Hearts Rock Cafe Saturday.

Earning awards for boys basketball were:

Mason Hull and Landon Wolfe shared the Most Valuable Player Award.

Hull also won the Best Defensive Player award along with Player with Heart-Celebration award and Most Assists.

Wolfe also won the Player with Heart-Determination award, Highest Free Throw Percentage, Most Rebounds and Most Assists awards.

Ryan Sandifer picked up two awards, the Play with Heart-Dedication and Most Assists. Cole Marxman also claimed two awards, the Most Improved Player and Most Blocked Shots.

Other awards went to Blake Lohman for Play with Heart-Inspiration, Matt Robinson for Play with Heart-Determination and  Tate Niebrugge was named Outstanding Sophomore.

Earning letters were Tate Niebrugge, Ryan Sandifer, Cameron Kalber, Lucas Hagler, Landon Wolfe, Dylan Bushur, Mason Hull, Clayton Cramsey, Parker Wolfe, Blake Lohman, Lucas Vasquez, Matt Robinson, Logan Smith and Cole Marxman.

Award winners for the Pom Pon squad were, left to right, Kaylee Phililps, Kierstin Cornell, Cairra Leasher, Keira Hirtzel, Hayleigh Duncan, Madeline Rubin and Cory Crainick. Not pictured was Erin Browne.

Earning Pom Pon awards were Cory Crainick for Biggest Leap, Kierstin Cornell for Shining Star, Cairra Leasher for Excellence in Sportsmanship, Erin Browne for Excellence in Showmanship, Kaylee Phillips for Excellence in Showmanship, Madeline  Rubin for Key to Creativity, Keira Hirtzel for Heart Beat and Hayleigh Duncan for Excellent Choreography & Design.

Pom Pon letterwinners were Hayleigh Duncan, Madeline Rubin, Kierstin Cornell, Jordan Christy, Cairra Leasher, Kaylee Phillips, Keira Hirtzel, Erin Browne, Olivia Fritcher, Jamie Dillow, Laney Osborne, Cory Crainick, Madison Helms, Laurel Hirtzel and Elizabeth McNutt.

Cheerleading awards went to, left to right, Hope Monnet, Grace Lybarger, Chloe Larimore and Kaylee Phillips. Not pictured was Madi Stortzum.

The Outstanding Cheerleader award went to Grace Lybarger. Hope Monnet won the Most Dedicated award. Chloe Larimore claimed the Heart of the Team award, Madi Stortzum won Hearts Work Hard award and Kaylee Phillips won the Sportsmanship award.
