Area Players Earn HM on All-State Boys Basketball Teams

A multitude of area boys basketball players earned Honorable Mention on the Class 1A/2A All-State Teams.

In Class 1A, Altamont's Mitchell Stevenson, a 5-foot-11 senior guard, earned Honorable Mention as did Dieterich's 6-foot-1 senior guard Ryan Radloff.

Also receiving a single vote, but not receiving Honorable Mention were Alek Biggs (Altamont), Lewis Brown (St. Elmo/Brownstown) and Calloway Campton (Dieterich).

In Class 2, Honorable Mention went to Effingham St. Anthony's Alex Deters, a 6-foot-2 senior guard; Cumberland's Tyson Magee, a 6-foot-3 senior guard; Newton's Nick Cohorst, a 6-foot-5 senior forward and Teutopolis' Lee Hardiek, a 6-foot-2 senior guard.

Also receiving a single vote, but not receiving Honorable Mention were Cade Walsh (Effingham St. Anthony) and Clint Weber (Teutopolis).

Named to the Class 1A First Team were Jake Wolfe (Aurora Christian), 6-foot-4 senior guard; Owen Landwehr (Annawan), 6-foot-3 senior guard; Devon House (Sterling Newman), 6-foot-7 sophomore forward, Braden Webb (Goreville), 5-foot-11 senior guard and Damarious Taylor (Cairo), 6-foot senior guard

Named to the Class 1A Second Team were Justin Myers (Colfax Ridgeview), 6-foot senior guard; Kyle Ottens (Milledgeville), 6-foot-2 senior guard/forward; Dylan Patrick (Newark), 6-foot-1 senior guard; Trevor Voss (Payson Seymour), 6-foot-5 senior guard-forward and Deion Jackson (Providence-St. Mel), 6-foot-3 junior guard.

Named to the Class 2A First Team were George Conditt (Chicago Corliss), 6-foot-10 senior forward; Andrew Morrissey (Winnebago), 6-foot-2 senior center; Raekwon Drake (Chicago Orr), 6-foot-5 senior forward; Lamar Lillard (Momence), 6-foot-4 senior forward; Fred Cleveland (Chicago Leo Catholic), 5-foot-8 junior guard and Jake Parr (Anna-Jonesboro), 6-foot-2 senior forward

Named to the Class 2A Second Team were Braden Atteburgy (Eldorado), 6-foot-5 senior forward; Dannie Smith (Chicago Orr), 6-foot-5 senior forward; Isaiah Saulsberry (Harrisburg), 6-foot-3 senior guard; Grant Jausel (Pinckneyville), 6-foot-2 senior guard and Malcom Miller (Shelbyville), 6-foot-4 junior guard.
