St. Anthony Moves Into Boys Poll, EHS, T-town Sixth in Girls Poll

Effingham St. Anthony High School moved into the Class 2A State Boys Basketball Poll this week.

The Bulldogs are 24-2 and earned 16 points to move into 10th place in the poll.

In the girls polls, Effingham remained in sixth place in the Class 3A poll. The Hearts are 25-2 and earned 55 points.

Teutopolis moved up from ninth place to sixth in the Class 2A poll.  The Wooden Shoes are 23-6 and earned 60 points. They opened the Vandalia Regional Tuesday evening with a 50-25 win over Effingham St. Anthony and will play for the regional title Thursday evening against Pana.

Altamont moved into the Class 1A others receiving votes category. The Indians earned six votes.
