The game had its ebbs and flows, but the one constant was good shooting by the St. Anthony Bulldogs and that keyed a 60-49 win Tuesday night over the Robinson Maroons. The game at the Enlow Center was heard on 979XFM and www.979xfm.com

St. Anthony shot 66% from the field, 25 of 38. When you eliminate 2 of 8 shooting from three-point range, the Bulldogs were 23 of 30, well over 70%.

Despite the good shooting, the Bulldogs could never the Maroons away. St. Anthony was up 15-4 after the first quarter, but saw the lead slip to 26-18 at halftime. The Bulldogs had pushed the lead back to 14 after three quarters, 43-29, but Robinson got within single digits more than once in the final period, outscoring St. Anthony 20-17 in the last quarter to account for the 11-point Bulldogs victory.

Despite their shooting from the field, St. Anthony was just 8 of 13 from the line. The Bulldogs grabbed 21 rebounds and turned the ball over 13 times.

Robinson shot 46% from the field, 16 of 35 including 3 of 15 threes. The Maroons were 18 of 27 from the line, pulled down just 14 rebounds, and turned the ball over 15 times.

Alex Deters and Jack Nuxoll shared scoring honors for the Bulldogs with 18 points apiece. Nuxoll was 8-for-8 from the field, Deters was 8-for-12. Adam Levitt scored 13 points on 5-for-9 shooting. Also for the Bulldogs: Brandon Runge 7, and Cade Walsh and Luke Ludwig 2 each.

Despite scoring just 49 points, Robinson had four players in double figures...Brayden Childress 16, Walker Sandschafer 11, and Chance Black and Alex Weber 10 each.

St. Anthony improved to 8-2 on the season, while Robinson slips to 3-8. The Bulldogs beat the Maroons 49-30 in what was the championship game of the St. Anthony Thanksgiving Tournament on November 30.

St. Anthony won the JV game 67-40. For the JV Bulldogs, Luke Ludwig scored 16 points, Alexander Brandenburger 11, and Bryson Wall 10.
