EHS Girls to Compete at Charleston Holiday Tourney

Effingham High School will be competing in the 25th Annual Charleston Holiday Girls Basketball Tournament December 27 through December 29.

The Hearts are in the Gold Pool along with Danville, Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin, Tri-County and Champaign Centennial.

In the Red Pool are Charleston, Pekin, Paris, Urbana and Rantoul.

Eight games are on tap for Wednesday, December 27 with eight more Thursday, December 27. The tourney finishes out with four games Friday, December 29 followed by the fifth place, third place and championship games.

The Hearts face Tri-County at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Champaign Centennial at 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Danville at 9 a.m. Friday.

Admission prices are $6 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens (65 years & older).
