Effingham St. Anthony claimed both freshman and sophomore boys basketball wins over Vandalia Monday evening.

In the freshman contest, the Bulldogs won 61-27. St. Anthony ripped out to a 38-11 halftime lead.

Thirteen St. Anthony players scored in the contest led by Logan Antrim with 12 points and Kennan Walsh with 11.

In the sophomore game, the Bulldogs claimed a 74-37 victory. Once again St. Anthony took a big halftime lead 38-22 then had a 26-8 third quarter.

Eleven players scored for St. Anthony led by Kayden Fearday with 16 and Aaron Webb with 14.

Effingham claimed a 73-56 freshman boys basketball win over Mount Zion Monday evening.

The Hearts led 16-10 after the opening period and 38-18 at haltime.

Parker Wolfe tallied 26 points for the winners while Nate Thompson added 15.
