Effingham St. Anthony and North Clay (Louisville) will square off for the championship of the Class 7-2A Girls Basketball Regional after picking up wins Monday evening.

North Clay won the opener over Neoga 36-7. North Clay led 17-2 at halftime and 30-7 going into the final quarter. Conley tallied nine to lead the winners while Holkenbrink added eight.

In the second game, St. Anthony downed Casey-Westfield 31-6. The Bullpups led 8-0 after the opening quarter and 14-6 at halftime. St. Anthony had an 18-0 second half. Anna Faber led the Bullpups in scoring with six.

St. Anthony meets North Clay at 6 p.m. today for the regional championship.

 Class 7-3A Lawrenceville Parkview Regional

Teutopolis will be playing for the championship of the Lawrenceville Parkview Regional.

The Wooden Shoes trounced Marshall 51-13 in action Monday evening. T-town held a 24-10 halftime lead then had a 27-3 second half.

Emily Konkel led the way with 15 points while Courtney Gibson added nine. The Shoes are now 17-4.

In the second contest, Robinson Nuttall downed Lawrenceville Parkview 23-7.

Robinson Nuttall meets Teutopolis at 6 p.m. today for the championship.

Class 7-3A Lawrenceville Parkeview Regional

Class 7-1A Dieterich  Regional

Sigel St. Michael and Dieterich will meet for the championshp of the Dieterich Regional.

St. Michael handed Effingham Sacred Heart a 36-4 loss in action Monday evening.

In the second contest, Dieterich bounced Ramsey 42-3.

Dieterich and St. Michael meet at 6 p.m. today for the championship.

 

Class 7-2A South Central Regional

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City claimed a 33-27 win over Brownstown/St. Elmo in the South Central Regional Monday evening.

CHBC edged Brownstown/St. Elmo 33-27. CHBC trailed SEB 6-5 after the opening quarter but came back to lead 13-8 at halftime. CHBC then had a 20-19 second half.

Gracie Heckert and Mady Wojcik tallied 11 points each for the winners.

SEB was led by Whitehead with nine.

In the opening contest, Nokomis edged South Central 36-35.

CHBC now meets Nokomis at 6:15 p.m. today for the regional championship.

Class 7-4A Effingham Regional

Effingham will be playing for the championship of its own regional after winning Monday evening.

The Mustangs easily handled Urbana 37-9.

In the second contest, Charleston won over Mattoon 35-18.

Effingham meets Charleston Wednesday at 6 p.m. for the regional title.
