Effingham Junior High School nabbed two wins over Neoga in girls basketball competition Friday evening.

The Mustangs took the seventh-grade game 38-21 to remain unbeaten at 5-0.

Niebrugge tallied 12 while Woomer had eight for the winners. Neoga was led by Richards with nine and Burcham with eight.

In eighth-grade play, Effingham won 33-29. The Mustangs held a 19-7 first half lead. Chrappa tallied 10 points and Schaefer eight as the Mustangs improved to 3-2. Moore scored 13 for Neoga.
