Dieterich Edges Noble in Girls High School Play

NOBLE -- Dieterich High School edged Noble in girls basketball action Tuesday evening, 45-40.

The Movin' Maroons held a 9-6 opening quarter lead and led 23-18 at halftime. Dieterich and Noble played even in the second half at 22-22.

Mallorie Vahling led the winners with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Candace Niemerg tallied 14 points and had eight rebounds, three assists and five steals.

Noble was led by Erin Taylor with 13 points.

Dieterich improves to 6-1 on the season.
