Class 3A, 4A State Basketball Qualifiers

Teams advanced to the Final Four at the Class 3A and Class 4A state boys basketball tournaments from super-sectional action Tuesday evening.

In Class 3A at the DeKalb NIU Super-Sectional, Bloomington downed Marengo 69-46. In the Hoffman Estates Sears Centre Arena Super-Sectional, Oak Park Fenwick bounced Arlington Heights St. Viator, 65-36.

Winning at the Joliet Central Super-Sectional, Chicago Morgan Park beat Coutnry Club Hills Hillcrest 54-43. In the Springfield Prairie Capitol Convention Center Super-Sectional, Springfield Lanphier dominated Centralia 64-38.

Oak Park Fenwick will now face Bloomington at 11 a.m. Friday while Chicago Morgan Park meets Springfield Lanphier at 12:45 p.m. The winners advance to the state championship game Saturday at 12:45 while the losers square off for third place at 11.

In Class 4A, Chicago Whitney Young beat Evanston Township 67-59 to win the Chicago State University Super-Sectional. In the DeKalb NIU Super-Sectional, Bolingbrook defeated Naperville North 83-57.

In the Hoffman Estates Sears Centre Arena Super-Sectional, Palatine Fremd edged Algonquin Jacobs 36-35 in overtime. In the Normal ISU Super-Sectional, Chicago Simeon beat Edwardsville 76-64.

Chicago Whitney Young and Palatine Fremd meet at 5:30 p.m. Friday while Bolingbrook takes on Chicago Simeon at 7:15 p.m.

The winners advance to the championship game Saturday at 7:15 p.m. while the losers will play for third place at 5:30.
