Thies Scores 12 But Millikin Women Close Basketball Season With Loss

The Millikin women’s basketball team closed out the 2016-17 season with a 94-79 loss to Elmhurst College on February 21 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.

Millikin had five players score in double figures led by Devin Curry (Watseka, H.S.) with 21 points and six rebounds.  Emily Schultz (Groveland, Morton H.S.) had 14 points followed by freshman EC Thies (Neoga, H.S.) with 12 and Yanni Saddler (Macomb, H.S.) and Lauren Moses (Newman, Hume Shiloh H.S.) each with 10.

Millikin senior Rachael Weber (Bloomington, Normal West H.S.) closed out her Big Blue career with five points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.

Millikin finishes the season at 11-14, 5-11.
