South Central was led by Abby Hahn with eight points.

"We knew going in that this was going to be a tough game," said South Central Coach Gary Kapper. "Christ Our Rock is a very good team with a lot of athletic and talented players. We did not handle their press and fastbreak in the first quarter and that set the tone for the rest of the game.

"Our seniors did a very good job of leading this team this year, taking a group of younger players and helping them develop. Our seniors included Haley Bergmann, Sidney Wilkins, Alannah Sigrist and Abby Hahn and they will be missed. Abby finished her career as the all-time career points leader with 1,423 points.

"We did not win very many games and these girls could have quit or just given up but they didn't and that shows a lot of character. We may have been short on numbers but big on heart."

North Clay will face Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran at 7 p.m. today for the regional championship.
