St. Elmo/Brownstown Claims Boys Basketball Win

ST. ELMO -- St. Elmo/Brownstown hit the century mark in picking up a non-conference boys basketball win over Sandoval Thursday evening. SEB pounded the Blackhawks 100-32.

SEB took off to a 31-3 opening quarter lead and never looked back in this one. Three players hit the double digit mark for BSE and those included Isaac Maxey with 22, Lewis Brown with 21 and Landon Feezel with 14.

Feezel led in rebounds with seven. Maxey and Dylan Brooks had five steals each.

St. Elmo/Brownstown improves to 14-7 on the season.

Oblong came calling and claimed a 76-48 non-conference win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Thursday evening.

Oblong stepped out to a 23-8 opening quarter lead and led 33-16 at halftime. CHBC came back with a 17-10 third quarter to pull within 43-33 going into the final period. Oblong then had a 33-15 run.

CHBC was led by Konner Blackerby and Aaron Nohren with 16 points each.
