Area Teams Still Ranked in AP Basketball Polls

Area teams are still ranked in both the boys and girls Associated Press Basketball Polls this week.
Teutopolis is fourth both in the Class 2A boys and girls polls. The Wooden Shoes had a 20-3 record and 89 points in the boys poll and remained in the No. 4 spot.
The T-town girls squad moved up from fifth to fourth with a 23-5 record and 88 points.
Effingham St. Anthony is still sitting in second place in the Class 1A Girls State Poll. Coach Bart Wiedman's squad has a 22-1 record and 115 points.
The St. Anthony boys squad is in the others receiving votes with five.
Effingham boys and girls are also in the others receiving votes. The Hearts boys squad has six first place votes while the girls squad has three.
