Effingham St. Anthony captured the championship of its own Class 8-2A Boys Basketball Regional Tuesday evening.

The Bullpups handed Hutsonville a 69-14 pounding in the championship game. St. Anthony now advances to its own sectional Wednesday, February 8  at 6:30 p.m. against either Neoga or Paris Crestwood. Those two teams play Thursday for the championship of the Neoga Regional.

 

Class 8-1A Sigel St. Michael Regional

Sigel St. Michael claimed its own Class 8-1A Regional with a victory over Dieterich.

The Sharpshooters won 44-23. St. Michael now advances to face the winner of the Mulberry Grove Regional, either Mount Olive or Pana Sacred Heart, Wednesday, February 8 at 6:30 p.m. Those two teams play Thursday for the championship.

 

Class 8-4A Effingham Regional

Charleston came out the winner of the Effingham Regional.

Charleston picked up a 51-44 win over Taylorville for the regional championship Tuesday evening.

Charleston will now face the winner of the Springfield Grant Regional, either Springfield Grant or Chatham Glenwood, Wednesday, February 8 at 6:30 p.m. Those two teams play Thursday for the regional championship.
