Dieterich Tourney Continues; Stew-Stras Wins Two

DIETERICH -- Dieterich picked up a victory in its own Eighth-Grade Boys Basketball Tournament Tuesday.

Dieterich downed Newton St. Thomas 35-16. In the other game, Sigel St. Michael defeated Hutsonville 41-27.

At Strasburg

Stewardson-Strasburg handed Sullivan a 25-17 loss in seventh-grade play Tuesday evening.

Kramer tallied 11 for the winners while Thies chipped in with eight. Stew-Stras is now 1-0.

In eighth-grade action, Stew-Stras was a 35-28 winner. Two players hit double digits. Moschenrose tallied 14 while Overbeck scored 11. This also was the season opener for Stew-Stras.

At Fairfield

The North Clay (Louisville) Junior High boys squad lost to Fairfield 48-30 Tuesday evening.

Leading scorer for the Cardinals was Bryce Walker with seven points. The boys squad drops to 0-2.

At Beecher City

Ramsey handed Beecher City an eighth-grade boys basketball loss Tuesday evening, 44-22.

Ramsey was led by Sloan with 16 and Huhn with 11. Beecher City was led by Dalton Strauch with nine.
