EIU Basketball Blue Madness Is Wednesday

CHARLESTON -- Eastern Illinois Basketball Blue Madness will take place on Halloween (Oct. 31) this year as the public is invited to come meet the 2012-13 Panthers men's and women's basketball teams while taking part in Halloween trick-or-treat and games in Lantz Arena.

The event is free and open to the public with introductions of the teams starting at 7:30 p.m.  Trick-or-treating and Halloweeen games begin at 7 p.m. and run through 8:30 p.m.

Halloween candy will be handed out by the EIU athletic team's in Lantz Arena along with Halloween themed games (pumpkin bowling, bobbing for apples, etc.).  The wearing of costumes is encouraged and a costume contest with several prizes will be part of the night's festivities.

The women's team will take part in a 3-point shooting contest while the men's team will have a dunk contest.

Admission to the event is free.
