8th Grade Girls Regional Championship Results--Friday, Dec. 2

Sigel St. Michael had already posted their regional championship win on Thursday night.

The Sharpshooters were joined by three other area teams after other championship games Friday night.

Sigel St. Michael won the Sacred Heart 8-1A Regional with a 37-17 win over Oakland Lake Crest. 

On Friday in a battle of two local teams, Altamont defeated St. Anthony 27-12 for the Louisville North Clay 8-2A Regional title.

Stewardson-Strasburg defeated Beecher City 33-17 to win the Central A&M 8-2A Regional championship.

Teutopolis defeated Lawrenceville Parkview 22-16 to win the Teutopolis 8-3A Regional title.

T-town held a 15-6 first half lead. Carly Michels tallied 10 for the winners.

The squad improves to 14-10 and will advance to meet cumberland for the 8-3A sectional Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Effingham, though, fell in the championship game of the Charleston 8-4A Regional, losing to Charleston 52-27.

The regional winners will play their sectional games next Wednesday evening.
