LOUISVILLE -- North Clay (Louisville) played host to South Central and handed the Cougars a 51-26 loss Thursday night.

Two players connected in double figures for the Cardinals. Taylor Jones scored 14 hitting three trifectas while Maddie Craig scored 12. The Cardinals had six three-pointers in the contest.

South Central was led by Abby Hahn with 12 points as she hit two three-pointers.

North Clay stepped out to a 29-9 first half and put the game into the win category.

"The girls worked hard the whole game and never quit," said South Central Coach Gary Kapper. "We didn't have a good second quarter and we had a lot of turnovers. We have to take shots if they are good shots, whether we make or miss them. With a lot of players having little varsity time, it's going to take us some time to get our offense moving smoothly and seeing the open player. We will just try to learn and improve each game."
