FINDLAY -- Stewardson-Strasburg traveled to Findlay Okaw Valley and fell in two junior high boys basketball contests Monday.

Okaw Valley claimed the seventh-grade game 36-12. Vonderheide led Stew-Stras with six points as the squad fell to 3-3.

In eighth-grade play, Okaw Valley was a 26-14 winner. Walden led Stew-Stras with eight and the squad dropped to 0-6.

At St. Joe

North Clay (Louisville) picked up a couple of victories over St. Joe Monday.

North Clay was a 28-13 winner in the seventh-grade contest. Bryce Griffy, Logan Fleener, Brady Ingram and Dakota Weidner tallied four points each to lead the way as a total of 10 scored in the contest.

In the eighth-grade game, North Clay edged St. Joe 42-41. Ethan Bible scored 26 for the winners.

At Newton

Jasper County split wins with Flora Floyd Henson Monday.

Jasper County was a 26-21 winner in the seventh-grade contest. Jasper County led 9-8 at halftime then had a 17-13 second half run. Meinhart tallied eight for the winners while Tharp added seven. The team improved to 4-0.

In eighth-grade action, Flora was a 60-16 winner, taking a 22-2 opening quarter lead. Geier led Jasper County with 10 points.
