Effingham Sacred Heart picked up an eighth-grade victory over North Clay (Louisville) in boys basketball action Tuesday.

The Shamrocks won 36-31. Tegler tallied 16 points to lead the way while Wallace chipped in with nine.

North Clay was led by Bible with 12.

In seventh-grade action, North Clay was a 19-9 winner. Ingram led the winners with seven points. Sacred Heart was led by Tegler with four.

At Strasburg

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor and Sullivan split victories Tuesday evening.

Stew-Stras/Windsor won the seventh-grade game 42-25, taking a 22-11 halftime lead. Wernsing tallied 16 and Vonderheide 14 for the winners.

In the eighth-grade game, Sullivan picked up a 38-9 victory with a 23-1 second half run. Bugger led SSW with four points.

At Altamont

Altamont Lutheran finished in third place in its own tournament Tuesday.

Altamont Lutheran beat Mattoon St. John's Lutheran, 60-24 for third place.

The championship game went to Vandalia over Teutopolis B, 53-30.
