EHS Boys Basketball Award Winners Named

Winning awards for the Effingham High School boys basketball team were, left to right, Sean Zerrusen, Brady Scott, Brady Jackson, Michael Woltman, Reed Schafer, Jacob Donaldson, Jared Minor, Brent Beals, Grant Wolfe and Mason Hull.

Effingham High School boys basketball award winners were announced Saturday at the EHS Banquet along with cheerleaders and pom pon award winners.

Grant Wolfe picked up two awards. Wolfe had the highest free throw percentage and was named the Most Valuable Player.

Sean Zerrusen and Reed Schafer shared the Best Defensive Player award. Brady Scott claimed the Hustle award. Brent Beals was named the Most Improved Player.

Brady Jackson and Michael Woltman shared the Sixth Man award. The Coaches award went to Jared Minor. Jacob Donaldson had the Most Blocked Shots. Mason Hull was named Outstanding Sophomore.

Lettermen were Alex Webb, Reed Schafer, Brady Scott, Sean Zerrusen, Brady Jackson, Jared Minor, Michael Woltman, Ryan Huelsbusch, Grant Wolfe, Brent Beals, David Wallace, Jacob Donaldson, Ryan Sandifer, Mason Hull and Landon Wolfe.

Members of the Effingham High School Pom Pon squad were, left to right, Brandy Fulk, McKenzie Crowell, Calli Fritcher and Kierstin Cornell.

Calli Fritcher and Kierstin Cornell shared the Most Improved award for the Pom Pon squad. McKenzie Crowell picked up the Sportsmanship award while Brandy Fulk won the Showmanship award.

Members of gthe Pom Pon squad were Brandy Fulk, McKenzie Crowell, Calli Fritcher, Courtney Williamson, Lauren Fox, Kirsten Vollmer, Cierra Rush-Inman, Sophia Ballard, Brynn Flack, Ciarra Leasher, Hayleigh Duncan and Madeline Rubin.

Claiming cheerleading awards were Claire Niebrugge for Most Oustanding Cheerleader, Chloe Funneman won the Hearts Work Hard award while Katelyn Lybarger captured the Most Dedicated award.

Winning the Hearts of the Team award was Meredith Wendling. Kristina Rivera won the Sportsmanship award. Kaylee Phillips claimed the Golden Pom award. The Outstanding Tumbling award went to Lauryn Douthit. Grace Lybarger won the Outstanding Jump award.

Members of the cheerleading squad were Claire Niebrugge, Kristina Rivera, Victoria Garren, Katelyn Lybarger, Anna Habing, Brianne Boggs, Meredith Wendling, Grace Lybarger, Hailey Marsh, Chloe Larimor, Alena Heckert, Jaci Lipe, Lauryn Douthit, Kaylee Phillips, Chloe Funneman, Delaney Starwalt, Haidyn Lewis and Hanna Lewis.
