Taylor Ridge Rockridge will take on St. Joseph-Ogden for the 2A boys basketball state championship tonight.

Rockridge advanced on the basis of a better-than-halfcourt shot by Connor Frakes that just beat the buzzer. Rockridge got the ball inbounded. The ballhandler started to fall down, but kept the dribble alive and managed to pass the ball to Frakes, who launched the game-winner. Rockridge beat Chicago Hales Franciscan 45-43.

The other game was more typical, as SJO defeated Breese Central 60-48.

The championship game is set for 8:15pm, preceded by the third place contest at 6:30pm.
