NTC, LIC Boys Basketball Teams Chosen

The National Trail Conference boys basketball teams were chosen and released recently.

Named to the First Team were Ryan Armstrong (Altamont), Landon Feezel (St. Elmo/Brownstown), Lance Niemerg (Dieterich), Nick Grunloh (Effingham St. Anthony), Brett Harmeier (South Central) and Tristan Warner (Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg).

Named to the Second Team were Travis Niemerg (Dieterich), Drew Gibson (Effingham St. Anthony), Nick Feldhake (Dieterich), Klaiton Wolff (Altamont), Drevonte Hill (South Central) and Austin Rexroad (Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick).

Honorable Mention went to Kyle Hardimon (St. Elmo/Brownstown),  Brandon Hosick (Altamont) and Adam Mayhaus (Altamont).

St. Anthony and Altamont were tied atop the regular season standings with 6-1 records followed by Dieterich 5-2, St. Elmo/Brownstown 4-3, South Central 3-4, Windsor/Stew-Stras 3-4,  Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick 1-6 and Neoga 0-7.

 

Little Illini Conference

The Little Illini Conference boys basketball teams were named.

First Team members were Cochran (Lawrenceville), Wallace (Marshall), Mammoser (Newton), Loeb (Lawrenceville), Gocey (Flora), Schmittler (Edwards County), Shick (Lawrenceville), Stoltz (Olney, Richland County), Dirks (Robinson) and Murray (Red Hill).

Second Team members were Scott (Robinson), Volkman (Lawrenceville), Carver (Casey-Westfield), Shaffner (Marshall) and Switzer (Paris).

Honorable Mention went to Chism (Casey-Westfield), Lieb (Flora), Benson (Lawrenceville), Finkbiner (Marshall), Stone (Newton), Vinsel (Red Hill), Wyatt (Olney, Richland County), Polk (Paris) and Sandschafer (Robinson).
