The Teutopolis High School Pomerettes will be hosting a camp for grade school students at the Teutopolis Grade School Gym Saturday, February 13.

The fundraiser is for Elizabeth Weidner, a sixth-grade student at Teutopolis Grade School and the 12-year-old daughter of Matt and Jennifer Weidner. Elizabeth has been disagnosed with cancer. She and her entire family are active in Effingham County 4-H and she also is a membr of the Jansen's Dance Center Dance Team. She has attended the Teutopolis High School Pomerettes dance camps and dreams of being a Pomerette.

All profits-proceeds will benefit the Weidner family as they begin this journey.

Grades K-2 will have camp from 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday and grades 3-6 will have camp from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

An optional performance will take place at the Teutopolis vs. Warrensburg-Latham boys basketball game at the high school that evening. The game will start at 7 p.m. Both sessions will perform during halftime of the varsity game.

A note will be sent home the day of camp explaining all the details for the performance. A video of the performance also will be sent to Elizabeth so she can see all the support she has as she is currently undergoing treatment in St. Louis.

The cost of camp is $20 per child. If there are any questions, contact Dani Ruholl, THSH Pomeette coach at ruholld@ttown.k12.il.us or at 857-3139 or phone Korrie Hartke at 217-857-6808.
