Effingham Junior Varsity Boys Jamboree Scores

The Effingham Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Jamboree was held Saturday.

In the opener, Effingham defeated Effingham St. Anthony 62-49.

The Hearts edged out to a 16-15 opening quarter then had an 18-9 second period run.

Three players hit double figures for the Hearts. Landon Wolfe and Brent Beals tallied 18 points each while Mason Hull scored 15. St. Anthony was led by Alex Beesley with 15 and Cade Walsh with 12.

St. Anthony then handed Robinson a 50-36 loss in the second game. The Bulldogs trailed 9-8 after the opening quarter but came back with an 18-2 second period run. Wyatt Lawrence scored eight points while Beesley chipped in with six.

Three players hit double figures for the Bulldogs in the win. Alex Deters tallied 11 while Beesley and Lawrence added 10 each.

Teutopolis then trounced Robinson 83-18. The Shoes held a 44-11 halftime lead.

T-town had 12 players score in the contest and were led by Bra. Bueker with 16 and Bro. Bueker with 11.

Teutopolis then claimed a 71-30 victory over Effingham. Once again the Shoes jumped out to a big lead with a 22-5 first quarter run.

Bro. Bueker scored 12, Bra. Bueker 11 and Goeckner 11 while Mette and Hardiek had eight each.

Effingham was led by Wolfe with seven.
