TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis High School bounced Casey-Westfield 71-35 in boys basketball action Tuesday evening.

The Shoes held the Warriors scoreless in the first quarter while putting together 22 points. M. Hardiek tallied seven points including a three-pointer.

T-town held a 42-10 first half lead and outscored Casey-Westfield 23-10 in the third quarter.

The Shoes had 13 players score in the contest. M. Hardiek led the way with 14 points while Brant Bueker chipped in with 12 points.

At Toledo

Charleston edged Cumberland 69-63 in a non-conference contest Tuesday.

The Trojans took a 22-13 opening quarter lead as Taylor-Lutz tallied nine points and Strader seven. The Pirates came back with a 23-17 run in the second period to take a 39-36 halftime lead. Mike Wolke tallied five points and the Pirates connected on nine free throws.

The score was tied at 46-46 going into the final period when Charleston outscored the Pirates 23-17 for the victory.

Cumberland's Tyson Magee scored 15 and Brandon Shaon 13.

Shelbyville held a 30-17 halftime lead. Howell finished with 15 points while Miller added 12 for the winners.
