St. Anthony Girls Post Win Over ALAH

The St. Anthony girls basketball team likes day games.

Bart Wiedman's crew posted an impressive 57-25 win over Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Saturday afternoon at the Enlow Center.

St. Anthony pitched a shutout in the first quarter, taking a 15-0 lead and led 29-11 at halftime, then extended the lead to 42-19 after three quarters before outscoring ALAH 15-6 in the fourth quarter.

Abby Weis and Emily McDevitt each scored 13 points to pace St. Anthony and Abbie Schmidt was also in double figures with 10 points. Also for St. Anthony: Emma Richards 7, Olivia Clausius 4, Maddie Schuette 3, Hunter Niebrugge 3, Kyla Burton 2 and Kaylee Horn 2.

McDevitt, Schmidt and Weis each had three assists, Richards had two steals, McDevitt had two blocks and eight rebounds, and Schmidt grabbed eight rebounds.

St. Anthony won the JV game, 39-28.
