Teutopolis captured freshman and sophomore victories over Effingham in girls basketball action Tuesday evening.

T-town won the freshman game 37-26. The Hearts held a 14-13 first half lead but T-town came back with a 14-4 third quarter run and outscored EHS 10-8 in the final period.

Frey scored 12 for the winners. EHS was led by Carie with 15.

In sophomore action, T-town again trailed, this time 24-19 at halftime. The Shoes went on a tear in the third quarter with a 19-1 run and pulled out the 44-29 win.

Bueker scored 10 for the winners while Frey, Hemmen and Niebrugge had eight each. Taylor led EHS with nine.

At Altamont

Teutopolis came calling and claimed two victories over Altamont in freshman/sophomore boys action.

The Shoes won the freshman game 67-33. The Shoes had a 27-17 halftime lead and outscored Altamont 40-16 in the second half. Weber led the Shoes with 17 points.

Altamont was led by Biggs with eight points.

In the sophomore game, T-town won 70-42. The Shoes led 29-23 at halftime then had a 20-11 third quarter run. Hardiek scored 21 points for the winners.

Brown led the Indians with 21.
