PANA -- Teutopolis advanced in the Class 8-3A Pana Girls Basketball Regional with a victory Tuesday evening.

The Shoes defeated host Pana 32-20. T-town held a 14 -6 first half lead. Olivia Niemerg led the way with nine points for the Shoes while Abby Bloemer added eight.

T-town improves to a perfect 22-0 on the season and advances to the championship game against Vandalia at 6 p.m. Thursday. Vandalia defeated Shelbyville Moulton 32-13.

Class 8-2A Altamont Regional

Altamont and Brownstown/St. Elmo advanced to the championship game of the 2A Altamont Regional with wins Tuesday evening.

BSE claimed a 38-28 victory over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick in the opening contest. BSE edged out to a 9-5 opening quarter lead on the five points of C. Wilhour. Campbell then tallied seven points in the second period as BSE moved ahead 20-8.

C. Wilhour finished with 16 points while Campbell added 11 for the win. BCCH was led by K. Wheeler and L. Wojak with eight each.

In the second contest, Altamont captured a 31-18 win over Neoga. Altamont edged ahead 6-4 and held a 14-7 first half lead. Neoga came back with a 9-5 third quarter run to trail just 19-16. But Altamont gained momentum for a 12-2 final period run as Jackman scored 10 of those 12 points.

Jackman finished with 14 points for lead Altamont.  Neoga was led by O. Titus with six.

Altamont and BSE will meet for the title Thursday at 6 p.m. The winner advances to the St. Anthony Sectional December 9.

Class 8-1A Cisne Regional

Dieterich handed Martinsville a 36-30 loss in this regional in the second contest. Dieterich trailed Martinsville 8-7 after the opening quarter and 20-18 at halftime.

In the second half, Dieterich came back with a 10-5 third quarter run and outscored Martinsville 8-5 in the final period to pull out the victory.

Dieterich was led by Niemerg with nine points. Dieterich advances to face Sigel St. Michael at 6 p.m. Thursday for the championship.

There was no report on the St. Michael vs. Sacred Heart contest.

Class 8-2A Effingham St. Anthony Regional

North Clay (Louisville) handed South Central a 31-14 loss in the opening game Tuesday evening in the St. Anthony Regional.  There was report on the game featuring St. Anthony vs. Oblong turned in.

North Clay held an 18-7 first half lead and outscored South Central 9-0 in the third quarter. Madison Lovett led the winners with 13 points. South Central was led by Laney Webster with seven.

In the second game, St. Anthony edged Oblong 19-14. No reported was turned in on the game.

North Clay will face St. Anthony Friday at 6 p.m. for the championship.
