The Effingham Park District's Special Needs Basketball program will begin Saturday, December 5. This program will provide the full benefit of a basketball program in an athletic environment structured to the needs of children with disabilities.

Children with a physical or mental disability who cannot safely or successfully participate in the traditional basketball program are eligible to participate. Adults with special needs may also participate in the league.

Games will be played at the Ron Diehl Center in the gym. This is a six week program available at no cost thanks to a donation from the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus.

Games will be played Saturdays from 1-2 p.m. To register, contact the park office at 342-4415.
