Effingham St. Anthony hosted Jasper County and the visitors captured both seventh and eighth-grade girls basketball wins Tuesday evening.

Jasper County edged the Bullpups 15-11 in seventh-grade play. Allison Einhorn and Madison Blake had four points each for the winners.

In eighth-grade play, Jasper County picked up a 31-19 victory. Claire Carr, Abby Stone and Alison Harris had six points each for the winners.

At St. Anthony

At Sacred Heart

Effingham Sacred Heart and Mattoon split victories. The Shamrocks won the seventh-grade contest 26-16. Karolewicz and Carie tallied eight points each.

In eighth-grade action, Mattoon edged Sacred Heart 21-19. Feldhake had eight for Sacred Heart.

At Altamont

Altamont and Sigel St. Michael split wins Tuesday evening.

St. Michael claimed the seventh-grade game 33-22. Bueker tallied 21 points while Niebrugge chipped in with 10 for the winners. Altamont was led by Goeckner with eight.

In eighth-grade action, Altamont claimed a 27-23 win. Altamont held a 15-10 halftime lead. Guse tallied 14 for the winners. McWhorter led the Sharpshooters with nine.

At Louisville

Teutopolis scored in the plus 30 point range in both seventh and eighth-grade victories over North Clay (Louisville) Tuesday evening.

T-town won the seventh-grade game 38-22, taking a 26-3 halftime lead. Carly Michels scored 19 for the winners. North Clay was led by Lovett with 12. T-town is now 4-3 on the year.

In eighth-grade action, T-town won 37-10, also taking a big halftime lead, 29-2. Claire Bushur scored eight points for the winners. The Shoes are unbeaten at 7-0.
