EHS Girls Basketball Summer Camp June 8-10

The Effingham Girls Basketball Summer Camp will be held Monday, June 8 through Wednesday, June 10 at Effingham High School.

The camp is open to any area girl, regardless of what school she attends. The camp is operated by EHS' head coach Jeff Schafer and assistants Aaron Witges, Troy Van Blaricum, Whitney McWilliams, Charlie Schwerman and former and current players. The camp will focus on developing fundamentals for each basketball camper through lecture, drills, individual skill sessions and film. Each camper will receive detailed instruction on ballhandling, shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, footwork, rebounding and team play concepts. Smaller goals will be used for grades one through four to ensure that the girls are learning proper fundamentals regardless of strength. Each camper will play in one to two games daily. These will be three-on-three, four-on-four or five-on-five games. Numerous awards will be distributed in daily camp contests for all diffrent age levels.

Girls should wear basketball shorts/sweats, T-shirt and basketball/tennis shoes. The camp will be held Monday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Tuesday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 to 3 p.m. and Wednesday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided on Tuesday. Cost is $45 and this will include lunch Tuesday. For those of you that have more than one child from same family, two for $58, three for $105. Make checks payable to EHS.

PARENTAL RELEASE

I hereby authorize the staff of the Effingham Girls' Basketball camp to act for me according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention. I hereby waive and release the camp from any injuries or illnesses incurred while at camp. I have no knowledge of any physical impairment that wouldl be affected by the named camper's participation in the camp program as, outlined.
