Area Basketball Players Head to All-Star Game At Decatur

It's the County vs. Area Basketball All-Star games at Millikin University's Griswold Center tonight in Decatur.

The evening begins with the girls three-point shootout at 6 p.m. followed by the girls All-Star game at 6:25. There will be a girls shooting stars contest at halftime of the girls game.

The boys three-point shootout begins at 7:45 p.m. with the boys All-Star game scheduled to start at 8:10 p.m. The boys slam dunk contest will be held at halftime of the boys game.

Admission is $6 with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Members of the Area girls team are: Alyvia Durham (Taylorville), Morgan Little (Tuscola), Brittin Boyer (Sullivan), Courtney Flach (Dieterich), Taylor Jordan (Central A&M), Kaley Hennings (Central A&M), Brook Bayles (Flora), Jessica Scott (Clinton), Kylie Cox (Flora), Josie Foster (Nokomis) and Ashley Schneider (Nokomis).

Members of the County girls team are: Devon Thaxton (Decatur Eisenhower), Lillian Gavin (Decatur Eisenhower), Adrianna Pruitt (Brownstown/St. Elmo), Shannon Propst (Mount Zion), Tori Weis (Maroa-Forsyth), Shannen Quehl (Decatur St. Teresa), Kayley Stock (LSA), Sydney Fyke (Decatur St. Teresa), Beth Daniels (Tri-City/Sangamon Valley) and Maggie Comerford (Meridian).

Members of the Area boys team are: Trey Thompson (Casey-Westfield), Mitchell Rhymes (Taylorville), Braydon Bone (Effingham), Keegan Steele (Marshall), Bryce Pearce (Flora), Logan Smith (Flora), Caleb Brumleve (Cumberland), Cody Hollensbe (Casey-Westfield), Alex Bohnhoff (Dieterich), Cole Sheedy (Taylorville), Michael Carie (Effingham), Tyler Gebben (Teutopolis), Devin Aherin (Dieterich), Andrew Gardewine (Effingham St. Anthony), Houston Napier (Cumberland), Eric Dust (Taylorville) and Marcus Chausse (Nokomis).
