The agenda for Monday night's Teutopolis Board of Education meeting includes a specific item to consider the dismissal of Andy Fehrenbacher as Wooden Shoes boys varsity basketball coach.

Rumors had been floating in recent weeks that such an action was being considered, but school district officials have declined to discuss the issue as it involved personnel.

Fehrenbacher's teams made four consecutive supersectional appearances from 2011 to 2014, and then lost in the sectional championship this season.

Fehrenbacher was named an IBCA Coach of the Year in Class 2A following this past season. He went past the 200 career victory mark this year in just his eighth season as a varsity coach.

The meeting will begin at 6:30pm in the high school media center, and will start with a closed session on personnel. The next agenda item is the vote on Fehrenbacher.

The motion only concerns Fehrenbacher's duties as the boys varsity basketball coach.
