CHICAGO (AP) -- DeAndre Jordan's rebounding was too much for the short-handed Chicago Bulls. Jordan continued his recent tear with 26 rebounds and Chris Paul had 28 points 12 assists and the Clippers earned a 96-86 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. Jordan had 17 rebounds in the first two periods, the most by an NBA player in one half this season. In his 300th straight game, the longest active streak in the league, the league's top rebounder also blocked two shots and altered several more.

Jimmy Butler left Sunday's  loss to the Clippers after hyperextending his left elbow. He did not return to the game and is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday.

The Butler setback is the latest for a Chicago Bulls squad that has been bitten hard by the injury bug in recent days. Taj Gibson missed Sunday's game after spraining his left ankle in Friday night's win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Gibson left the United Center on Sunday wearing a walking boot and has already missed time this season because of the same injury.

Derrick Rose is expected to be out for four to six weeks after having a meniscectomy on his right knee on Friday. Rose appears to be in good spirits after starting his rehab on Saturday and was at the United Center early as his rehab process continues.

Rockets 105, Cavaliers 103

James Harden has been putting up MVP-caliber numbers all season for the Houston Rockets. Given the chance to go head to head with one of his biggest competitors for the award, Harden and the Rockets came out on top. The Houston Rockets made a strong statement with their tough win against the Cavs, Calvin Watkins writes. Harden scored 33 points and Cleveland star LeBron James missed a pair of free throws with 4.2 seconds left in overtime, helping the Rockets hold on for a 105-103 win over the Cavaliers on Sunday
