Cavaliers Clobber Knicks, NBA Roundup

(New York, NY) -- LeBron James had 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in only 28 minutes as the Cavaliers clobbered the Knicks, 101-83, in New York. James passed Allen Iverson for 22nd place on the all-time scoring list during the rout. Kyrie Irving also netted 18 points for Cleveland, which has won 16 of its last 18 games. J.R. Smith had 17 points in his return to New York. Langston Galloway finished with 13 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Knicks, who fell to 10-45 with their seventh straight loss.


Hawks Bounce Bucks

(Milwaukee, WI) -- The Hawks bounced back against Milwaukee, winning 97-86 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Paul Millsap powered his way to 23 points and 16 rebounds for Atlanta. The Hawks were up by 15 at halftime, but had the lead cut to two in the third. Kyle Korver nailed three three's early in the final quarter to give Atlanta the lead for good. Al Horford added 15 for the Hawks, who won after dropping three of their previous four. Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo both had 19 points for the Bucks. Milwaukee was a perfect 18-of-18 from the charity stripe, but had 24 turnovers.


Pistons Rally Past Wizards

(Auburn Hills, MI) -- The Pistons overcame a sluggish first half to defeat the Wizards, 106-89, at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Down by eight early in the third, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led a rally by scoring 13 of his 26 points. Andre Drummond contributed 18 points and 16 rebounds, and Reggie Jackson had 17 points, five rebounds and five assists in his Detroit debut. Marcin Gortat paced the Wizards with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Garrett Temple added 12 for the Wiz, who have lost eight of their last ten.


Pacers Knock Off Warriors

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The Warriors weren't able to overcome the absence of Steph Curry in a 104-98 loss to the Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Rodney Stuckey exploded off the bench leading Indiana with 30 points, five assists and four rebounds. After tailing by 12 at the end of the first quarter, the Pacers outscored Golden State 78-60 the rest of the way. Indiana has won three in-a-row and six of seven.  Curry missed the game with a sore right ankle.  Klay Thompson had a game-high 39 points on 12-of-28 shooting in the loss. The Warriors had a four-game winning streak snapped.


Magic Dump Sixers

(Orlando, FL) -- The Magic held on for a 103-98 win against the 76ers at the Amway Center behind 31 points and 14 rebounds from Nikola Vucevic. Victor Oladipo chipped in 17 points, five boards and three assists for Orlando, which has won three in-a-row. Robert Covington and JaKarr Sampson each posted 16 points in the defeat. Philadelphia made 13 threes, but turned the ball over 21 times. The Sixers have lost three straight.


Thunder Destroy Nuggets

(Oklahoma City, OK) -- Russell Westbrook stepped up with Kevin Durant out, tying a career-high with 17 assists as the Thunder romped the Nuggets, 119-94, at Chesapeake Energy Arena.  Westbrook added 21 points and eight rebounds. Serge Ibaka and Enes Kanter each chipped in 20 points, while Dion Waiters contributed 17 off the bench. Oklahoma City has won six straight. Durant had another procedure on his right foot and will be re-evaluated in a week. Denver shot 36-percent from the field and never recovered after trailing by 18 at the end of the first quarter. Ty Lawson had a team-high 17 points for the Nuggets, who have lost two straight and eight of nine.


Mavericks Knock Off Hornets

(Dallas, TX) -- Monta Ellis scored 15 of his game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter as the Mavericks knocked off the Hornets 92-81 at American Airlines Center. Amar'e Stoudemire had 14 points in just 11 minutes of action in his Mavs debut. Tyson Chandler posted 12 points and seven rebounds, while Richard Jefferson added 10 points and 10 boards for Dallas, which has won five of seven. Mo Williams netted 22 points to pace Charlotte, which dropped its fifth straight. Al Jefferson ripped down 17 rebounds, while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marvin Williams both had 15 points in the loss.


Grizzlies Bounce Blazers

(Portland, OR) -- The Grizzlies outscored the Trail Blazers by 19 in the fourth quarter on their way to a 98-92 victory at the Moda Center. Marc Gasol paced Memphis with 21 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Courtney Lee made 6-of-8 shots for 19 points. Memphis picked up a game on the Warriors and is three-and-a-half behind for the top spot in the Western Conference. Portland was without LaMarcus Aldridge, who sat with a right thumb sprain. After scoring 77 points on 49-percent shooting through three quarters, the Blazers were held to 15 points and shot 17-percent from the field in the fourth. Arron Afflalo scored eight points of the bench in his Portland debut as the Blazers lost a second straight contest.


Lakers Clip Celtics

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Despite giving up a 10-point lead in the final three-and-a-half minutes, the Lakers picked up a 118-111 overtime win against the Celtics at STAPLES Center.  The starting five finished with just 34 points as LA ended a seven-game losing streak. Jeremy Lin led the charge with 25 points and six assists, while Wesley Johnson scored 22. Nick Young added 19 points in the victory. Jae Crowder paced Boston with 22 points and seven rebounds, while Avery Bradley chipped in 20 points including the game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime. Isaiah Thomas put up 21 points in his Celtics debut before getting ejected in the fourth quarter.


Bulls Battle Bucks

(Chicago, IL) -- The Bulls will battle the Bucks at the United Center tonight. Chicago opened its seven-game homestand with a 112-107 win over the Suns on Saturday. The Bulls also upped their record to 35-21 with the win. Tip-off is at 7:00
