Conley Gym at Flora High School should be a rockin place tonight.

The host Wolfgals will take on the Lady Shoes of Teutopolis for the 2A Girls Basketball Sectional Championship. Game time is 7pm. Hear the game on 979XFM and www.979xfm.com.

Teutopolis heads into the contest at 16-16 on the season, but with loads of post-season experience and playing some of their best basketball of the season at just the right time. Flora, meanwhile, is 27-3 in a season in which they've received votes for the Top 10 in 2A girls basketball.

Both squads have dedicated fans. In Tuesday night's 39-28 win over Hamilton County, Flora was backed by a huge student section painted in orange and making plenty of noise. Lady Shoes fans travel well, though, and there should be a lot of blue and gold to be seen. Plenty of Teutopolis faithful were on hand for Tuesday's 57-38 win over a Tuscola team that went into the game with a 21-5 record.

The winner of tonight's game will play in the 2A Super-Sectional Monday night at 7:30pm at Millikin University in Decatur. The winner will take on the winner of the Hoopeston Sectional, either Bloomington Central Catholic or Champaign St. Thomas More.

Tonight is also championship night at the 1A Sectional being hosted by St. Anthony High School's Enlow Center. Arcola will play Central A&M at 7pm. Best of success to the local girls who will be competing at St. Anthony in the Country Financial Three-Point Contest; Chandler Ward of CHBC, Dana Shelton of BSE, and Maddie Schuette of St. Anthony.

Meanwhile, the Effingham Lady Hearts will take on Centralia in semifinal action tonight at the Olney 3A Regional. The game will be the nightcap of a doubleheader at Olney; Salem will play Olney at 6pm, followed by the Effingham/Centralia contest at 7:30pm. Tonight's winners will play Friday at 7pm for the regional championship and the opportunity to advance to action Monday at 6pm at the Highland 3A Sectional.
