Bulls Dominate Kings, NBA Roundup

(Chicago, IL) -- Tony Snell hit 9-of-11 shots on his way to a career-high 24 points helping the Bulls crush the Kings, 104-86, at the United Center. Pau Gasol had a double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds, while Derrick Rose chipped in 23 points with seven assists.

Chicago has answered a three-game losing streak with two consecutive wins. DeMarcus Cousins shot 5-of-15 from the field, but still finished with 15 points, eight boards and eight helpers.  Rudy Gay had a team-high 24 points for the Kings, who have lost four of five.


Pistons Smack Hornets

(Charlotte, NC) -- The Pistons cruised to a 106-78 win against the Hornets at Time Warner Cable Arena behind 23 points and 12 rebounds from Greg Monroe.  Detroit outscored Charlotte by 24 in the middle two quarters. D.J. Augustin and Jodie Meeks each added 18 for the Pistons, who have won four of six. Al Jefferson compiled a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double in the loss. Jefferson only made 6-of-14 shots as the Hornets shot just under 36-percent from the field. Gerald Henderson had a team-high 17 points for Charlotte, which has lost three in-a-row.


Rockets Bounce Suns

(Phoenix, AZ) -- James Harden scored 20 of his 40 points in the fourth quarter, leading the Rockets to a 127-118 victory over the Suns at US Airways Center.  Harden was coming off a 45-point effort on Sunday against the Blazers and is averaging 39 points in his last three games. He just missed a triple-double, adding 12 rebounds and nine assists.  Josh Smith had 20 points off the bench for Houston, which has won three of four. The Suns erased a 41-23 first quarter deficit and led by as many as eight in the third quarter. Eric Bledsoe posted 32 points, four assists and four boards in the defeat. Phoenix has lost five of six.


Grizzlies Dump Nets In Hollins Return

(Memphis, TN) -- Lionel Hollins' return to FedExForum ended with a 95-86 win for the Grizzlies over the Nets.  Brooklyn's head man coached the Grizzlies for parts of six seasons and helped them get to the Western Conference Finals in 2013. Zach Randolph posted 19 points and eight rebounds in the victory. Marc Gasol had a 14-point, 11-board double-double for Memphis, which is 14-2 in its last 16 games. Mason Plumlee and Alan Anderson tallied 15 points for Brooklyn. Plumlee also grabbed 14 rebounds. The Nets have lost three straight.


Nuggets Run Past Lakers

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Ty Lawson poured in 32 points and dished out 16 assists to lead the Nuggets to a 106-96 win over the Lakers in Los Angeles. Darrell Arthur netted 15 points off the bench for Denver, which outscored LA 35-25 in the fourth quarter to snap a six-game losing streak. Wilson Chandler and J.J. Hickson had 13 points apiece in the win. Carlos Boozer finished with 21 points and 10 boards for the Lakers, who have dropped five in-a-row. Wayne Ellington ended with 18 points in the loss.
