Kiwane Garris Co-Ed Basketball Clinic Scheduled

The Kiwane Garris Co-Ed Basketball Clinic has been scheduled for Saturday, February 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. at the Mason Civic Center in Mason.

Garris is a former University of Illinois and NBA player. Garris and the coaching staff will bring a wealth of basketball knowledge to the campers. They also will talk about the importance of getting good grades, playing hard and staying out of trouble off the court. Autographs and pictures will be available for campers and their parents.

Also helping with the camp will be Kevin Turner, University of Illinios Big 10 champion and six year European professional player and Ryan Grant, a McDonald's All-American, an Effingham High School legend and possible future Hall of Fame inductee.

There will be two sessions. The first session is from 9 a.m. to noon for ages 6-13. Register and shoot around at 8:30 a.m. The second session is from 1-4 p.m. for ages 14-18. Register and shoot around from 12:30-1 p.m. Price per session is $25 and includes clinic T-shirt.
